The 2011 Lakeshore Cup

The 2011 Lakeshore Cup is scheduled for the following dates and locations: (subject to change)

U12 Boys Tournament Hanover Sunday, August 21st
U12 Girls Tournament Hanover Sunday, August 21st
U14 Boys Tournament Walkerton Saturday, August 20th
U14 Girls Tournament Saugeen Shores Saturday, August 20th
U16 Boys Tournament Mount Forest Sunday, August 21st
U16 Girls Tournament Kincardine Sunday, August 21st
U20 Boys Tournament Tara Sunday, August 28th
U20 Girls Tournament Mildmay Sunday, August 28th

Saugeen Cup Finals Mount Forest Saturday, August 27th

Placement will be determined by a random draw for the end of season tournament (playoffs) known as
the Saugeen Cup. Tournament format and rules will be determined by the Tournament Chair and the
Lakeshore Soccer League Executive. Schedule and rules governing Saugeen Cup play will be issued to
coaches prior to the start of the tournament and posted on the Lakeshore Soccer League website. The
first round of the Saugeen cup may be played during the weeks prior to the tournament.

Playoff Tournament Information

• Our Lakeshore League, (SWRSL)which involves the U12 to U20 leagues, will be expanding and will be playing as part of the South West Regional Soccer League this year. All the teams from last year will be involved with the possibility of adding teams from other nearby communities as well (possibly Durham, Mount Forest). This should especially help our older leagues to have more competition!
• Our younger teams will continue in the Saugeen Mixed League Loop with at least the same teams / communities as last year.
  
  
• We welcome input and help from all interested parties. We are always looking to add to our successful programme. If people have ideas for fundraising ideas, please email info@walkertonsoccer.ca or phone our President Andrea Barclay 519-367-2260. We aim to keep registration fees reasonable while improving the opportunities, equipment, fields, etc. for our players!
  
  
• We are looking for additional sponsors for our teams. We had many fabulous community businesses come on board in the last two years, and welcome new sponsors to support our youth and advertise your business in Bruce and Grey counties (and beyond).

Coaching Clinics and Referee Clinics are available to all Lakeshore Soccer participants / coaches / officials. Check the web for upcoming clinics at www.ontariosoccer.net As part of the SWRSL alignment, other clinics will be made available too!
